It seems to me that you can solve 2 problems in 1, add that the energy consumption x skill is related to the level, the more level you reach the less energy you should require for crafting/cooking and additionally add the "fail or burn" dynamic in industries and that they are the items with the highest TIER that minimize this dynamic of failure. This will encourage players to not stay at a specific level and continue progressing.
I would like to add some kind of achievements as each player reaches a certain level of TOTAL skill, a kind of skin that is useful within the game, for example: of N crafing has the probability that 1 does not consume energy...
I'm sorry if the ideas are not clear enough, but I use a translator to be able to communicate with you...

Hi. Can we add farming efficiency in the game? Players with high level farming skills have reduced energy consumption.
The only incentive for increasing levels is to unlock certain crops/goods. With farming efficiency, players can "invest" coins/pixels to increase their levels faster. This will create a good burning mechanism for coins/pixels.
