Feature Request

Genesis Dino Utility Proposals
Hi Pixels Family!! After conferring with a sizable group of Genesis Dino Pet holders, we wanted to compose a “feature request” which seeks to discuss and outline the potential utility mechanisms for Dino’s. Before we outline potential utility mechanisms for Dino’s, we’d like to note a couple things: 1) From prior Q&A’s it was noted that Dino’s would have superior stats relative to other pets. Given that Genesis Dino’s are a historic Pixels asset, in addition to their very rare nature, we recommend that other use cases and utility features be considered. Special use cases should be considered for such special assets. 2) Us Dino pet holders would love to be able to continuously provide input if the team is interested. We care about this game and would love to help bring exciting new features that bolster the entire community. With that said, here are some possible ideas for Dino utility. Fossil Fields Access: Dinosaur pets could have exclusive access to 'Fossil Fields' where they can dig for rare fossils and ancient artefacts. Ancient Lands Exploration: Allow these pets to explore special 'Ancient Lands' areas, which are only accessible to them. These lands could contain unique plants, minerals, and other resources. Special Crafting Abilities: Grant dinosaur pets the ability to craft unique items or enhancements that other pets can't, using resources found in their exclusive areas. -Ancient Guardian Quests: Design special quests where dinosaur pets can act as guardians of ancient secrets or treasures, offering unique rewards upon completion. -Time-Travel Adventures: Create time-travel missions exclusive to dinosaur pets, where they can visit different prehistoric eras and bring back special items or knowledge. -Exclusive Dinosaur-only Competitions: Organize competitions or events where only players with dinosaur pets can participate, offering unique rewards or in-game status. -Ancient Wisdom: These pets could have the ability to unlock ancient wisdom or stories, providing players with hidden knowledge or crafting abilities or bonuses. We humbly propose these ideas in effort to bolster the community as a whole. We love this game and would love to see some of these ideas come to fruition if possible. We sincerely thank the Pixels team for their hard work and vision. You guys are the absolute best!!!! -Matt, on behalf of the Genesis Dino Pet Group

Pet Battles & Minidungeon Loop
(I posted it earlier, but it got closed instantly. I'm not sure if it's because there was a copyrighted word or because of how it was structured) Pet battles could be something similar to a creature battle game, but much simpler and more casual. You could fight against other players or participate in a PvE that affects the game loop. The combat would be turn-based RPG style, with up to 3 players cooperating, and turn order would be based on Speed, Luck (critical hit chance), and Strength (damage multiplier). The actions would be simple: Attack, Block, or Item (maybe using a Pet Treat to heal or other items). The dungeon could have 2 regular battles + a boss fight. Players would get 2-3 free entries per week, but if they want more, they would need to craft a key using dungeon loot or pay with Pixel. The loot could be progressive: the first fight drops common loot, the second one adds rare loot, and the third could drop rare loot plus a special item requested by the taskboard. The crafting loop would be important, as players can gather materials from the dungeon + actual materials to craft keys for more entries. The global dungeon loot provides enough materials to craft 0.5 to 2 keys per player, and there's a 33% chance of getting a "Boss Head", an item required by the taskboard. We could also make the system more complex by adding elements based on pet types, like: Penguin = water, Dragon = fire, Cow = earth. That way, each week the dungeon could be weak to one element or strong against another, encouraging players to use different pets. Additionally, we could allow players to consume or throw different items during battles, further increasing resource usage.

Dino pets feedback
This is general feedback about my experiences as a Dino Pet owner. It doesn't feel balanced. The cost of a treat exceeds the benefit and joy I receive back. Consequently I find myself putting it to rest more than playing with it. 1 treat a day should be sufficient along with some time (play). Walking around with the pet should actually bring happiness to the pet. This advertises having a pet and makes other want it. Instead, I only bring out and get it happy enough if I am playing Bump-A-Grump or perhaps doing a bunch of farming. The pet needs other types of play, for examples: emotes I can cause it to do, playground interactions in Carnival, and perhaps some outfits I can put on it. It is a pain to lose the inventory when it isn't happy. It makes sense, but that means I can't have it carry the treats and sticks it needs to be happy. Thus, the pet actually reduces my inventory space as I can't rely on it being available as needed. Currently, I would rather do two trips than try and utilize pet inventory. I don't like the facial expressions. The banner for pets on Mavis Market shows a dino with a cute smile and a happy feeling. Most of the dino pets seem angry or exhausted or worse. Perhaps if the current default face is when they are unhappy, but if their face could change for when they are happy. Would love to hear other's experiences with having a pet. Not having a Dino Pet private channel on the Discord seems odd and like a missed opportunity for Pixels to eavesdrop and interact with it's rare asset holders like it can with the Land Channel.
